AudioLens simplifies audio recording, transcription, and actionable note-taking. Follow this guide to learn how to set up your account, start recording audio, and capture actionable insights.
Setting Up Your Account
Choose a Sign-Up Method:
Google or Apple ID: Use the single sign-on (SSO) feature for a quick and secure setup. Simply click "Continue with Google" or "Continue with Apple," authenticate your account, and start immediately.
Email Sign-Up: Provide your email address, verify it using the 4-digit code sent to your inbox, and set a secure password to complete registration.
Verify Your Email (for Email Sign-Up):
Enter the verification code sent to your email. Codes are valid for 15 minutes. If it expires, request a new one by clicking "Resend Verification Code."
Once verified, you can proceed to set your workspace.
Login Options:
Use your registered email and password or SSO credentials (Google/Apple ID) to log into AudioLens.
Set your Workspace preferences
Navigate to App Settings to configure preferences such as the default transcription language and AI-processing options.
Add keywords to optimize transcription and note generation based on your context and workflow needs. For instance, your name will already be added as a keyword to ensure correct spelling whenever it appears in a transcript.
AI Notes Templates
Designed to streamline the process of generating actionable notes from transcripts of the audio recordings. These templates help structure your notes to align with the key insights and objectives derived from your audio recordings, ensuring clarity and actionable outcomes.
System Templates:
These are predefined templates created for common scenarios, such as summarizing action items, capturing key points, or outlining next steps from a meeting.
System Templates are ready to use and save time by providing structured outputs.
User Templates:
Create custom templates tailored to your specific workflows and objectives.
Use prompt instructions to define how the notes should be generated, ensuring they align perfectly with your specific needs.
Creating Your First Recording
Start Recording:
Tap the "mic" (Record) icon on the navigation bar to start a new audio recording.
During recording, you can pause and resume as needed. The app displays real-time duration, a waveform animation, and a countdown when nearing the maximum recording duration (3 hours).
End Recording and Configure Options:
Tap "End Recording" to stop the recording.
If you are online, you will be redirected to the "Recording Settings" page.
If you are offline, the recording is securely saved locally, and an "Upload" option will appear in the Recent Recordings page.
Configure Recording Settings:
Choose AI Notes Template: Select a system or user template to generate AI notes as required.
Set Keywords: Specify keywords to enhance transcription accuracy and ensure correct spellings for critical terms.
Additional Context: Provide details about the recording (e.g., "Sales Team Meeting").
Folder selection: Organize your recording by selecting a folder.
Click "Transcribe and Create Notes" to upload the recording and start processing.
Note: You can start recording audio offline, with the app securely saving it locally. Once an internet connection is restored, you can upload the audio for processing to extract insights and generate actionable notes.
Viewing Your First Transcript, AI Notes, and Chat Insights
Access the Recording details: After the audio recording is processed, access it from the Recent Recordings page. Click the recording to open its details page.
Discover AI Notes: Use the "Notes" tab to access structured, actionable notes generated from the transcription.
These notes summarize key points and action items based on the Notes template selected.
Use the playback feature to play the audio recording and navigate to the specific sections if needed.
Explore the Transcript Tab: View the full transcription with speaker labels, timestamps, and segmented content for readability.
Interact with AI Chat: Use the "Chat" tab to ask follow-up questions or clarify points from the recording. The AI provides responses based on the transcript and notes, offering deeper insights.
Navigating AudioLens Features
Home: The Home page is your default landing area. Recent Recordings show your latest audio files, while Starred Recordings help you quickly find files you marked as starred.
Library: Organize recordings into folders and subfolders. Your "Home" folder is displayed by default, and you can add subfolders to manage recordings better.
Search: Quickly locate audio recordings by searching for keywords in titles, transcripts, or AI notes.
